The days begin to resemble horribly in Beirut, a painful monotony sets in as the worst moments of the 80 chronic conflict.
After the shock of an unexpected war, lived almost as a natural disaster or the wrath of God, after the revulsion against the brutality of death after the events of the media battles of the South, everything was frozen because of absurdly winner or lack of energy. Now is the time of uncertainty, no announcement from the earliest days of the conflict that the cataclysm was preparing the final solution that would finally expected stability in Lebanon instead of the status quo of the past 40 years. But consider how the final return quietly building a strong state, in the absence of clear political will? My belief is that man can influence history, revolutions of past centuries are tangible evidence, but a revolution has to be complemented by positive acts. Now Lebanon is every prospect of progress culminating in a return to square one. The same events, the same leaders, the same economic impact, the same wars, here is the cycle of a country that gives the impression of taking pleasure in eternal victim status of the international community.
I'm bored, I try not to believe in the tragic destiny of Lebanon, Lebanon forgets the Lebanon survives but Lebanon freezes, it breaks against the wall of indifference and greed international. His children die or go into exile and there is no indication inside the solution, the government despite appearances of unity in the face of adversity is more split than ever in a majority without ideals and a few ministers spokespersons of a second army who camped on untenable positions.
The problems of the past resurface if needed to show that the concept of consensual democracy in every crisis creates a total paralysis of the state apparatus, a state that refuses out of fear or laziness to impose a policy of complete overhaul of the company, based on a true pluralism instead of the current national fragmentation.
Why should we be afraid of secularism? The only system that guarantees safety, freedom of worship, full citizenship, equal opportunities, constructive debate. But now, every community wants to safeguard its assets as spoils of war and social skills has no chance against the creeping feudalism of the ruling class. It is time for youth to overcome their dead idols, semi active or live, it's time to move progressive ideas.
But it will require that the Lebanese began to believe against his primary instincts clan and act against oneself.
